Located on the corner of Sandusky Avenue and Rensselaer Street, WHITEAMIRE architects is Bucyrus, Ohio's only full service architecture firm. Founded in August of 2006 by architect Robert Whiteamire, the firm strives to provide quality design solutions and project service from start to finish for a client's problem. Whether it is a certain space desired, an expected level of finish, or a limited budget to be met, WHITEAMIRE architects excels at making the client's desires the highest priority of any project solution. Because of this attention to the client's needs coupled with a quality design solution, WHITEAMIRE architects have had clients return to the firm for additional work to be completed. The firm feels that client retention such as this is a sign of client satisfaction with the company's work.
WHITEAMIRE architects has provided architectural service for a wide array of projects and clients located across Ohio and other areas in the Midwest. We are experienced not only in various areas of commercial design, but have and continue to provide design solutions for residential clients also.
WHITEAMIRE architects' expanding client list includes individual property owners, private developers, construction contracting companies, religious organizations, and private businesses to name a few. This vast array of clients is a testimate to WHITEAMIRE architects' client first approach to design problem solutions.
Services
As a full service architecture firm, WHITEAMIRE architects are able to aid a client through a project from programming to final occupancy.
Programming services include aiding the client in determining the scope of a project from spaces desired to budget requirements with a focus to what the client wants as an end result.
Schematic design(s) are produced out of criteria listed in the project's program. WHITEAMIRE architects will produce a schematic design(s) keeping in mind the client's desires.
Design development will expand on the schematic design and factor in aspects such as structural and/or mechanical issues that may affect the design. As with the schematic design, feedback from the client will continue to aid in shaping the final design solution.
Construction documents are created after design development for the purpose of obtaining building permits and to also aid in project bidding. This is a set of drawings and specifications which will explain the clients desires to builders wanting to provide a price for constructing the design.
Bidding assistance includes providing bidders with the contract documents, and to assist the bidder with any questions that may arise regarding the project. WHITEAMIRE architects also will assist the client in selection of the successful bidder(s).
Construction administration is provided to ensure that the client's wants and the final design are carried through to the final built structure. This also aids in checking that the contract documents are followed for both design intent and level of quality.
Consultant services (in addition to new construction) includes: evaluating existing structures, site selection, interior and exterior material selection, energy efficienct designs and methods, master planning, information/ referrals for inquiries related to any project.

Zeigler's Electrical Supply Addition and Renovations - Bucyrus, Ohio
Addition and Renovations to a former service station building to create a 2,500 SF electrical supply business. Renovations include modifying the existing restroom to become handicapped accesible, creation of a small merchandise area, a new sales desk, and new warehouse storage. Additionally, the exterior was completely renovated to create a distinctive character seperate from the former gas station
H&R Block Addition and Renovations - Bucyrus, Ohio
A small addition and renovations of an existing 4,200 SF metal storage building into new offices for H&R Block. The new work consisted of a new vestibule, reception/lobby, two private offices, a break room, open office for at least six work stations, and new restroom facilities. In addition to the interior work, the exterior was updated to satisfy the aesthetic desires of not only the Owner, but also the desires of the coroprate offices of H&R Block

Hibbett Sports - Bucyrus, Ohio
Storefront signage replacement and interior tenant build-out, worked with Hibbett's to ensure corporate image was upheld
TSC - Bucyrus, Ohio
Added a vestibule, pulbic restrooms and storage area, upgraded interior tenant build-out and exterior finishes and provided energy efficient lighting to meet current TSC standards
Medical
Urgent Care Facility - Bucyrus, Ohio
Former cheese factory renovated into an Urgent Care Facility. Complete interior remodel and exterior finish upgrades. Facility is a full functioning medical facility equiped with state-of-the-art x-ray and examination technology. Children, adult and family exam rooms, offices, nurse stations, storage, large waiting area, reception and staff areas.
Magnolia Terrace - Galion, Ohio
The design is a 4 phase addition onto an existing assisted living facility. The first addition included eight new living units broken down into 3 one bedroom units, 4 two bedroom units, and one single room living unit. The second addition included a new office/break room for the facility staff, additional storage, and creation of a new courtyard. The third addition included sixteen new rooms, 8 single rooms and 8 suites. The fourth additon included upgrades to the lounge area, a soda fountain cafe, and a small garage.
Inn at Westbrook Addition - Upper Sandusky, Ohio
Project includes a 14,000 SF addition to an existing assisted living facility and various site improvements. The 14,000 SF addition will provide an additional 15 living units, a library, a hair salon, laundry facilities, a whirlpool room, and additional storage to the existing facility.

Renovations include: storefront signage, exterior finishes and complete interior tenant build-out for restaurant and coffee cafe

Field House - Renovation of former vocational shop area into a new field house includes: a locker room, two shower rooms, student/ athlete lounge, coach's office and some storage.
Board Offices - renovation of former elementary school into new board offices, three pre-school classrooms, and flex classroom space. Board offices include: private offices, work areas, record storage, and board conference room.

Robert Whiteamire
owner/architect
Mr. Whiteamire has been a resident of the Bucyrus community since 1977 when his family moved from Marion, Ohio. He graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1993 and attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, where he graduated (cume laude and from the honors college) in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design and a Bachelor of Architecture. He has been working in the architectural field for 15 years.
